Back when I worked at Verizon they used to give out gold star balloons (same balloon as the purple one in your picture but gold) to what the HIGHLY erratic “quality” team determined to be a perfect 10 call. Me and the guy that sat next to me could not pull of the sort of robotic demeanor needed for perfect 10 calls so rarely ever got them. What we decided to do one day, as we stared out through the call center and saw the sea of balloons was to get our own. So we stopped by a grocery store, and I bought a huge butterfly balloon, and he got a giant dolphin balloon, and we brought them in and put them at our desks where the perfect 10 balloons went. They were the hit of the call center and we just had the attitude “oh, all you guys got was a little star balloon, eh?” Ah, good times. :)
