It only happens every four years and is arguably the most anticipated of all sporting events.

Who are you rooting for this World Cup series??

(And if you’re not watching, you’re missing out. Soccer boys are by far the hottest of all sports boys!)

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: The twitter-verse can be an amazing place, if you let it!

A few weeks ago I was named one of The Top 10 Blog’s Top 10 Twitter People of the Day.  I immediately thanked the gracious list maker (aka – my first official Trans Atlantic (across the pond) friend) who then inquired if I would be interested in creating a Top 10 List of my own. After a few emails back and forth I set off to formulate my very own Top 10 List…..and was quite pleased with the ending results might I add!

SO, you wanna know what’s in MY Top 10?  Head on over to The Top 10 Blog to read:

Top 10 Songs of a Sassy Steel Magnolia

I think you’ll be surprised some of the ones that ended up on the list! And while you’re there, check out more of the awesome Top 10 Lists – there’s a ton of categories to choose from. Cheers!

*A huge Thank You to Tony, the editor of The Top 10 Blog for allowing me to create a list of my own!  Even the UK needs a little Sassy Steel Magnolia every now and then!

This one goes out to quite a few people today:

    1. Angie for her 5 a.m. text asking if I happened to have this song & her hard work in putting the 2010 Moms Run together in such a fabulous way!

    2. My Sista Sista Jessica & her Husband Justin, who are leaving tomorrow to head to Aruba for the next week!

    3. Mortti, who leaves tonight for a nice little cruise in the Caribbean!

    4. My girl, E, who just moved into a new apartment and near finished getting everything set up and ready to roll.

    5. Berty, who just got back in to town! (but I’m not allowed to talk about where he was because the CIA will come get me.)

    6. C-Note for finally making an appearance on The Sassy Steel Magnolia and who will probably have to buy me lunch for mentioning his name.

    7. My brother Jim, who turned 36 yesterday!

    8. My doll downstairs, Lavinia, who’s lost 12 lbs already and gonna cause quite the stir out on the beach in her bikini!

    9. The one and only ATC, who just gets me and all the crazy things that roll through my mind!

    10. All my fabulous readers who keep coming back time and time again to read my ramblings!

And last but not least: Me! Because I said so and it’s my blog :)

I thought about doing something Cinco de Mayo related, but opted not too.  Sometimes you just don’t want to be festive, especially when you’ve got this…..picture with me:

Sunday afternoon. It’s sunny out and I’m at home being lazy in my pajamas. Thinking about getting up and being productive, maybe hitting the beach, when low and behold what comes on my television?

John Hugh’s very own Pretty in Pink (never made it out of my house after this discovery)

And so today’s Music Snack is inspired by one of my favorite scenes in this classic movie.  Who can forget when Duckie slides into the record store lip singing and dancing to Otis Redding’s Try a Little Tenderness? Such an unforgettable scene with such an awesome song.

Otis Ray Redding Jr.Try a Little Tenderness

And just so you can relive Duckie’s shining moment, here’s a clip of his dance moves and lip singing grooves. (Why the first words are in spanish, I don’t know, but this was the best clip I could find!)

    No reason what so ever.

(which seems to be the emerging theme of this week)

I kinda like shakin’ to this song by the great Harry Belafonte.
