I never worry about diets. The only carrots that interest me are the number you get in a diamond.

It’s no secret that Cher is one of my favorite artists ever. I love her older work & I love her newer work.
Big fan of Cher. Big fan.
This song and video has such a great message that everyone can relate to it at some point or another in their lives. Not to mention it is absolutely one of those songs you listen to full volume, windows down and singing loudly for all to hear.

We all forgive. We all forget. We just keep believing.

*A special Thank You to my Sista Sista, Jessica, who never gets tired of talking me through my less than stellar moments, for being my go to girl on official Sassy Steel Magnolia matters, and for always providing invaluable amounts of love, support and encouragement.*

“I’m selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can’t handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don’t deserve me at my best.”

Karen Walker, to be exact.

“I’m fabulous. I’m an incredible dresser, I’ve got buckets of money, I’m a hoot and a half & I got a killer rack.” – Megan Mullally as Karen Walker of Will & Grace

Often associated with Andy Warhol, the great American artist, for being one of his greatest and most memorable Muses, 1965′s Girl of the Year
..Edie Sedgwick…

Artist – Socialite – Actress – Model
With a history as rocky as the Himalayan mountains, Edie’s struggles in life were on a very personal level – although often publicised. This eventually led to many people casting her out, ostracizing and criticizing her. How lonesome that must have been. And how hard she tried to overcome these difficulties which with she came face to face.
I have set Edie as an Icon for her love and zest of life and her power to live in the moment. Her ability to let go of rules and stipulations and enjoy spontaneity at it’s finest. To know no boundaries and to just Be. I envy her as I often find my self encircled by worries or doubts or consequences. I am saddened that, like so many others’, her time here on Earth was cut short. There are many qualities of Edie that I strongly admire and I believe a great many would benefit from her if only they knew more about the girl behind the pictures and films.
And so here’s to you, Ms. Sedwick, may your memory live on and may many more individuals find inspiration in your story.
A quote from the movie Factory Girl (and my personal email signature):
She leaves only good wishes behind. ~Edie Sedwick
