On a lovely Saturday afternoon, lounging on the couch after a full day of roaming the streets of Downtown City by the Sea, the conversation over wine and cheese with a dear friend turned to the subject of having framed pictures of yourself in your house. My friend had had professional photos done a few years back [ for no reason at all - my favorite kind! ] and questioned whether or not to print one of her favorites to display in her home.
For me there was no question to debate – why would you not want to have a picture of yourself framed and on display in your very own home? You frame pictures of your family, of your dog, of your friends, all things you love dearly, so why on Earth would you hesitate to frame a picture of yourself that makes you feel beautiful, or stunning, or sexy, or all of the above?
How is it that these notions are reserved for celebrities only, and often times the everyday women can be seen as vain or conceited if they have themselves displayed? That’s quite nonsensical if you ask me! And so, ladies, it is time to banish those thoughts and get yourself to the printer. Take your absolute favorite picture of yourself (or even 2 or 3), print it – however large you want it to be – frame it, then place it somewhere you pass each and every day, multiple times a day. Every time you see your framed self, remember why that picture is your favorite, feel whatever feelings led you to love that particular picture so much – whether it’s because you look sexy, or cute, or sassy, or sophisticated – and carry those feelings with you for the rest of the day. Don’t question or debate, don’t worry what someone else might think…just do it.
I think you might be surprised just how much seeing that one new detail can change your days.
I have a few of my shots from Good Graces Photography printed out and strategically placed around my room. There’s no harm in an extra boost and a slight smirk before walking out the door to take on the world.

Where are you going to put {yourself} ?
